The cross-border partner in the Climate Park project is the Slovakian National Agricultural and Food Centre. This research institute, based in Banska Bystrica, focuses on the production and non-production functions of grasslands throughout Slovakia. This includes particular methods of grazing to utilise the ecological services of grasslands.
Activities are also related to the evaluation of the impacts of agricultural activities on the natural environment, including infrastructure development (laboratory and auxiliary equipment) and practical fieldwork.
Cross-border cooperation will promote cultural cohesion between communities; deepen interest in education related to the diversification of agricultural activities for the development and protection of natural values; and increase environmental awareness with the participation of all project partners.
